About

When Kobus was introduced to Permaculture by his now-mentor, Avice Hindmarch, it completely changed his life. For an analytic person who functions strongly on logic, Permaculture was the revelation informing a vision of living in a more sustainable way.  His vision is for an ethical society consisting of healthy individuals living in resilient communities interconnected with each other and nature.

After resigning from teaching at the end of 2010 he joined Hazel Mugford for an internship. After completing his Permaculture Design Certificate he was privileged to work with Hazel on numerous projects and co-facilitating courses under the auspices of Permaculture South Africa.

He has since facilitated a number of courses conveying the philosophy of Permaculture and the practical skills required to set up and maintain productive ecological systems. He is involved in numerous private and public projects throughout the Western Cape of South Africa.

Kobus is based in Rawsonville in the Western Cape.
